NON-DUALITY MEANS ONE REALITY

Culture shapes the human into its own cultural-concept: the cultural point of view, the cultural perception. Are we able then to take one more disruptive evolutionary step to consider that the person we think we are is a concept, an idea of a “someone” we are trying to be or claim we are. From the point of view of our unconditional Being, every cultural point of view, no matter how phantasmagorical, is also a limitation to our unconditional Being.

Subject to the usual limitations of the written (or spoken) word, I wish to make clear within this essay one or two misconceptions about the “teaching” some people may be struggling with.

Firstly, let us be very clear that non-duality means One Reality. There are not two realities: the material “reality” and the spiritual “reality.” For example, we tend to think or perceive that the body and the spirit are separate. From this comes the notion there is bodily life and, quite apart from the body, there is spiritual life.

In our mind we create a division between the two aspects of the One Reality: the physical characteristics of the spiritual. All that appears physical is suffused with the spiritual and, in fact, IS the Spiritual Reality, otherwise it would not be appearing.
The body IS the Spiritual Reality.

However, the individual tends to relate exclusively to the physical aspect of the One Reality. It is no wonder we do this, especially in a culture based in the destructive triumph of materialism as its measure of success. The ascendancy of materialism over its Source Condition (the Greater Spiritual aspect) leaves no place for the sublime understandings and sensibilities of the One Human Spirit.

If you are interested, it is interesting to observe that our cultural spiritual beliefs most often wind up creating materialistic divisions between human beings. Rather than argue the cultural point of view with each other we need to become much more interested in what lies beneath the surface of our cultural and personal belief systems.
One’s own cultural indoctrination and subsequent way of life must be inspected and understood if one is to Realise the One Reality.

Human-created cultures weave and mold a belief system or a conceptual idea around the Being of Consciousness It Self. This concept or belief system becomes a “person” to whom we become attached, or whom we identify as “I”. My point here is not whether one or other culture has a far more colourful and spiritual belief system with which to identify one’s self but rather, for each of us, no matter what culture you were birthed into, to understand this: the “person” we try to become is a concept.

The overcoat of culture may very well give us a sense of comfortable self-adjusted belonging, but every culture defines and therefore confines its adherents to different conceptual personal identities. Cultural beliefs generate different realities, different impressions or perceptions of Life.

Again, from the point of view of Consciousness or Awareness It Self there is no argument about seeking to find the absolute Truth within these various and interesting concepts. That seeking dilemma belongs to the state of perplexity engrained in the conceptual-person identity.
What should be the empathetic study of cultures is not for the purpose of discerning absolute Truth but, rather, to generate variously better ways to think about phenomena.

Once again, I am not the adversary of cultures, not at all. If I am to help a human to Awaken to their Greater Spiritual Identity, then such a “teacher” must be untainted by any cultural, social or religious impressions. Within the vast array of conceptual-person possibilities, the individual is tormented enough without further adding to their misconception of Self.

The Greater Spiritual aspect of all existence has no quarrel with or confusion about the contradictions and paradoxes that are the nature of the manifest. Therefore, the Realisation of our Spiritual Identity does not require the annihilation of cultures or anything at all.
Spiritual self-enquiry, or to seek what lies beneath the surface of your character, your person, does not require you to destroy the unique human being you exist as. Just so, to look beyond the veneer of our cultural or conceptual identity does not require the obliteration of any culture whatsoever.

The new can be created without smashing the old. The one human spirit can be resurrected, can be revived without the destruction of our individual uniqueness.
However, what does it mean to Awaken and Realise the Wholistic Spiritual Reality?
We must understand that Consciousness It Self is a cultural and social and religious dissident.
Consciousness It Self or the Wholistic Spiritual Reality belongs to no one nor to any particular culture, society or sect.

It is worth remembering that there have always been dissident intellectuals who later, often after their death, were called prophets. They have always been on the fringe of every society and badly treated.

Beloved. Take your time. Move slowly. Let the Love that IS Life become infused in your flesh and in your Being just as your culturally indoctrinated identity permeated and saturated your Being.
Allow now Consciousness It Self to Enjoy ITs Self through all Its manifestations.

A moment begins with nothing
So, fly the colours of your imagination
Walk the Songlines of this Mother Earth
Embrace the terror and splendour of a night sky
and kiss away the doubt in each other’s eyes.
Dress your bones in earth and sky garments
Rejoice in all the languages of the Heart
To dance the ancient rhythms infused in your bones

Be in peace with your vanishing days and listen
to the wild possibilities that arise in the Heart.
Allow the Native Ground of the Heart to infuse your Native Self
Where love desires to gather us each with the arms of Freedom before it’s too late
the person is leaving, always leaving, always leaving.
Where have you come from, where are you going?
Be Awake
You are always in the Place where Lightning waits to be Born.
