You Are Here and Everywhere and Nowhere

Oh Beloved Heart, we are physically here for such a brief moment. Yes, it is a Wonder we have met at all in this randomly chaotic, ordered world but the Greatest One for You to meet is You.

For the unknown duration of our physical existence, we will continually be confronted with the confoundedly unsettling fact that we have far less control over Life than we like to think. We come into physical existence, a realm of change upon change, joy and sadness, beginnings and endings, loving and leaving: birth and death.

Yes, of course we would like things to go well, for loved ones to be with us and for their lives to be all they can be. After all, our greatest capacity is to Love.

However, are we actually initiated into Love – into Life? I remember well, being told to make something of my life. Apparently there was somewhere, someplace way ahead I must get to. I was frightened but never knew of what or how to talk about it. I found myself in the midst of other humans scrambling around, doing their best to survive, to be the best, to win approval and be loved. No wonder I spent most of my energy and personality trying to conceal shock, dismay, self-doubt and a lingering sense of hopelessness. For God’s sake, such a huge, existentially ungovernable circumstance to try and control but control I think I must and yet, control I cannot. Always, this ominous conditional implication I was failing.

The very Wonder, the Mystery, the astonishing feat of Nature - that we are here at all - quickly gets obliterated in the muddied waters of mainstream social indoctrination. All these competing ideologies and supposed conditional experiences that one, by all worldly accounts, must have and hold on to in order to be a worthwhile Human Being. A Being that was, and always is, an Unqualifiable Being, a Free Being, a continuous Being… before and after all events.

How dismayingly easy it is to miss this One.

Oh Beloved Heart, we are physically here for such a brief moment. Yes, it is a Wonder we have met at all in this randomly chaotic, ordered world but the Greatest One for You to meet is You. Given this is a realm, a realm of Nature that thrives on the Principle of letting go (as opposed to holding on), we are Alive in letting go not in holding on. Beloved Heart, we can only reach out our Breathing Hand to each other and then let go into Love.

And I will grieve and You will grieve, for grieving is the pain of the Body-Heart letting go – an embrace I hoped and assumed would always be there for me in this realm.
Grieving is, in many ways, our emotional/mental faculties ripped asunder from what we thought we knew, what we think we know, by one or other shocking reminder that we exist in a temporary unknown. And death is the Life-Master of that Awakening.

Ah Beloved Heart, you spoke to me once of enlightenment and how you were done with it. But, Beloved, how on earth and beyond could you be done with You?

I have never left You and You have never left Me. It is only the “individualised reactive consciousness” (the Conscious State that’s involved in holding on or trying to make something of Its Self) that assumes a controllable independent entity in Life. Yes, the bodily individual form will sooner or later, by one event or another, dissolve back into its earthly components. And most of what we, who mourn the dead, think we know of that one is only what we wanted to know, for the sake of our personal relatedness to that one.

Please hear me well: it is not that this is right or wrong… in fact, it is understandable. My point is how much do we hold on to the conditional known for our own sake, rather than allowing each other to unfold in the Un-known? Well, of course, this will depend on our own state of Love.

And how much time do we have for me to explain enlightenment is the word describing and conceding the limits of language. It is a Bright metaphor, a Life-Native word for the tacit recognition of our Inherent, Un-limited Being-Self. And Love is the Will of Life to Live It.

In the very brief time we all have on this Earth, there is not a moment to let slip by without communicating the feeling of Love. Not to do that, not to actually express that, is to waste our Divine Given Life.

He once navigated the roads of his life with a known map particular to his bodily destiny. But always his Spirit – the Spirit – adheres, as with all, to an Un-knowable design in Life. And for us, who are for now still so Lightly here, he is indelibly embedded in the Heart of those who remember in Love.

 I Love You.
